Features
The NAVI tool offers the following features/functions to allow the
dealership to realize these benefits:
• Detection of copier 'engine' status and researching a knowledge
base or 'known problem case data' for a solution to a current copier
problem when connected directly to the copier (available for the latest
generation of copier engines)
• Searching the knowledge base for a solution to a problem in 'off-line'
mode (connection to the copier has not been established) for all
copier models supported by the NAVI tool
• Access to model servicing information (work procedures, electro-
mechanical component references)
• Link capability to the Canon Technical Documentation offered to
dealers for sale on CD-ROM
• Link capability to other Canon Service Tools (Service Support Tool
and the PDL Downloader)
• Access to copier Service Mode via the computer running the NAVI
application to enable execution of the auto reset feature (a return to
initial or default values)
• Adjustable copier engine Error and Jam thresholds for efficient
performance monitoring
• Web browser based replacement part lookup
• Copier engine status reporting capability
