III. Installation

1.In order to prevent the swing of hammer 4 during the transportation, the fan-shaped fan and the

bearing base are fixed by a screw. Please remove it before using the instrument.

2. After removing the screw, the instrument must be put on a solid and stable bench. It is better to put

hard rubber sheet( 2mm ~ 3 mm) between the instrument and bench.

IV. Adjustment

 Adjust the jack screw 1 to make the bubble on the center pf spirit level 11.

 Clamp the specimen and tilt the tearing knife 9. The line length of the specimen should be 20mm

± 0.2mm. If the length doesn't reach to 20mm ± 0.2mm, please adjust the position of the knife.

 Raise the fan-shaped hammer 4. On the 25mm of the braking point's right, please make a pointer

(It can be make by a wire but it can not be close with fan-shaped hammer 4), then dial the pointer

aside to the zero position. Tilt the test spanner 8, the baffle of the fan-shaped hammer 10 will be

pressed so that make the fan-shaped hammer 4 swing freely. Observe the decay within the twenty

cycles. The amount should be less than 25mm. Or you have to add the oil in the bearing to make it

flexible.

 When the fan-shaped hammer 4 is raising, please dial the pointer to the left of the pointer baffle
