Assembly

Assembly of the lower guard is required prior to operation.

Prior to carrying out any assembly work, adjustments or

maintenance, ensure the battery pack has been removed

from the rear of the housing so operation of the trimmer is

impossible.

Guard assembly

1. Fit the guard on to the previously fitted trim by placing the

guard over the spool and line and allow the guard to sit

on the underside of the motor housing. Ensure that both

lines have passed through the hole in the guard and are

not trapped under the guard.

4. Secure the guard using the 3 screws through the guard

into the housing. Ensure the screws are tight.

Wire plant protector

To fit the protector, insert the tails of the protector into

the holes located on each side of the motor housing.

The protector will lift vertically when not in use.

The distance between the top handle and the cutting head

can be adjusted to suit the comfort of the operator.

1. To adjust the length, loosen the shaft adjustment lock,

and then extend or shorten the length of the shaft.

2. When the desired length of shaft is achieved, tighten the

shaft adjustment lock to lock the shaft to the selected

length.
