6.2.2 Display of Sensor Data

Immediately af ter the connection process, the sensor data are read out and displayed

automaticall y.

The sensor ID box contain the f irmware version, serial number and type of the sensor. If the

connection is not successf ul, the # symbol only appears. The NCS-M sensor can only be conf ig-

ured using a f irmware version 3.1 or higher. If the sensor contains an older f irmware version, it

cannot be conf igured and a corresponding error message is displayed.

As l ong as the sensor is connected, it is perf orming a periodically measurement and the cur-

rent measurement result and the switching signal are displayed.

The state of the switching output is displayed activated in green ("yes") or deactivated in red

("no"). In addition, the process value of the measurement is displayed in percent. As long as

the programming adapter is connected t o the sensor, the eval uation takes place immedi-

ately. A time del ay set in the sensor is ignored f or the PC application.

The detection of the medium can be conf igured with the sliders at the bottom of the program.
