Using Your Custom-Touch
™ Heat Pad
Slide the Custom-Touch™ heating unit into the special Moisture-
Plus!™ cover provided with your system. Do not use without the
cover, and do not add additional layers of insulating cover.
The outer cover is designed to absorb moisture from the atmo-
sphere between uses and release the moisture when the heat is
activated. Your skin should feel slightly damp from the water va-
por condensed during the treatment, but will not be dripping wet.
If you feel your cover is not producing enough moisture, the steps
below will show you how to safely add a damp cloth.

1. Start by laying the MoisturePlus!™ cover out flat and smooth.
This type of cover is sometimes called a "stupe" cover (sounds like
"stoop"), since it allows you to add moisture, if needed, without
getting the fabric of the heat pack wet.
2. Slide the Custom-Touch™ heat pack into the bottom section of
the cover, under the white nylon layer. Make sure the heat pack is
kept smooth and flat inside the cover.
3. Slightly dampen a cloth or towel (a fleece square is included
for your convenience) and squeeze out the excess moisture. Slide
the damp cloth into the top section of the cover, over the white
nylon layer. The nylon layer is necessary to protect your Custom-
Touch™ heating unit from becoming damp. The cloth should not
be wet, just damp. It does not need to fill the entire area of the
vinyl pocket, but should be flat and smooth.
It is very important to keep the heating unit flat inside the cover.
Folded or overlapping areas of the heating unit could intensify the
heat. This could damage the unit, burn the user or cause a fire.
Feel inside the cover with your hand to make sure the heating unit
is flat and wrinkle-free. Before each use, check the heating unit to
be sure it has remained flat inside the cover.
Insert the plug into any convenient 110-volt outlet. The pack has
a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) as a safety
feature. This plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If
