Lay the cover and heating pad assembly over the area of the
body needing heat therapy. The heat pack layer should be on
the outside (farthest away from your body) and the section with
the damp cloth on the inside (closest to your body). The Model
830-Small 5" x 16" Custom-Touch™ heat pack has a Velcro strap
to help hold it in place on small joints such as the ankle, elbow,
neck or jaw.
Please note the UL-required warning:
Do not sit or lay on the Custom-Touch™ heat pack.
Press the lever on the hand control and hold it down. WARNING:
This switch was designed for your safety - Use Only As Directed.
The switch is spring-loaded, so the Custom-Touch™ pad is "Off"
when the switch is not held "On". You control the heat by holding
the switch in your hand. Please do not switch it "On" any other way.
When you hold down the switch on the Custom-Touch™ heating
pad, the quick temperature rise will drive moist heat deep into pain-
ful tissues, stimulating circulation for natural healing, to relieve pain
or inflammation and relax muscle spasms.
When the Custom-Touch™ gets as hot as you like, release the
switch until you begin to notice that the unit feels cool. Repeat this
"On and Off" procedure as needed to maintain the most comfort-
able temperature. The time for the entire treatment may vary from
person to person. We recommend treatments of 30 minutes or less,
with a minimum cooling period of 60 minutes between therapy ses-
sions. Please consult your physician if you require more prolonged
heat therapy, or if you notice unusual symptoms.
When finished with your therapy session, remove the plug from the
outlet. Store the Custom-Touch™ pad in the original box or lay it
out flat. Loop the cord loosely – tight wrapping may damage the
cord and internal parts.
