Using the SCOUTcombo

The SCOUTcombo provides two methods to select the desired computer. You may either use the

Select button on the unit, or make use of the keyboard Hot Key commands.

Keyboard Hot Key commands

To send Hot Key commands to the SCOUTcombo switch,

press and release Scroll Lock

Enter, for the desired effect. The following commands are supported:

First Key

Second Key

Scroll Lock

In Auto-Scan mode, the image shown on the monitor will automatically switch to the next computer.

The delay is user definable between 5 to 250 seconds (see Table above). After the last computer has

been shown, the first computer will be shown again.

Note: In this mode, there is no mouse control.

You can stop the Auto-Scan mode by entering a keyboard command, e.g. Switch to PC 1

Rear Panel Layout 2-Port switch

Scroll Lock within 5 seconds. Press a command key followed by

Switches to PC connected to port 1

Switches to the desired PC

Toggle Auto-Scan mode ON

Set Auto-Scan interval to 5

seconds.

The scan interval can be between 5

to 250 Seconds
