Installing a Cisco 6160 Without a POTS Splitter Configuration

4.2.11.2 OC-3c Network Connections

Complete the following steps to connect the OC-3c network connections:

Do not stare into the beam or view it directly with optical instruments.

Verify that the OC-3c/OC-3c or OC-3c/2DS3 NI-2 card is installed in slot 10 (or slot 11, if a secondary

NI-2 card is being installed for redundancy) of the Cisco 6160 chassis to ensure that the OC-3c NI-2

connections are active.

Attach the receive cable from the ATM switch to the TRNK 1 TX optical interface connector on the
