Multiple Unit Consists (DT400/DT400R/DT402D)

Enter the lead locomotive ID on right side and the second locomotive ID on the left side.

Press Y + to add second locomotive to

Left speed indicator

shows CN.

Flashing smoke indicates which

locomotive responds to function

buttons.

Note: if locomotives are facing the same direction, the left and right direction indicators need to show

the same direction. If locomotives are facing opposite directions, the left and right direction indicators

need to show opposite directions.

Ensure left smoke

is flashing.

Check direction

arrows. (see

below)

Press MU button.

Message briefly

displays Consist.

Message then

alternates + = add

and – remove.

The Mode

Indicator displays

MU.

consist

Control speed for both locomotive

with right knob.

Right speed indicator show power

setting for both locmotives.
