Carefully slide the splice
protection sleeve to have a
portion of the buffer cleaved
fiber and the ferrule stub
assembly covered.
IMPORTANT:
protection sleeve must
completely cover the first
portion of the ferrule stub
assembly as shown below.

The splice

Place the cable assembly into
the splicer heater and follow the
manufacturer's instructions and
Belden's heat settings.
Heat the splice protection
sleeve.
18.
Remove the cable assembly
from the heater after the
shrinkage is completed.
