1. Theory
The pH value is an electric value that is a parameter for the acidity of water.

3. Starting and calibration
1. Put the 12 V plug of the power supply unit into the socket of the pH monitor (No. 5) and then
plug the power supply unit into the power socket.
2. Connect the pH electrode (No. 4).
3. Insert the electrode into the buffering solution pH 7. After the measured value has itself
stabilized, which may take some time, turn the knob (No. 2) with the included Allen key to pH 7
with a small turn of the knob. Carefully insert the Allen key with the short side. Do not turn
knob when pulling the Allen key out.
4. Flush electrode with distilled water.
