Failure behavior of models without redundant fans
ProLiant DL and ML servers without redundant fans respond differently to a fan failure based upon the state of the server when
the failure occurs, the presence of the health driver, and the system's thermal shutdown configuration. Table 5-4 identifies
various fan failure scenarios and the resulting behavior.

iLO will attempt to perform a graceful shutdown by simulating an ACPI power button
press; however, this will have no effect in Windows if the console is locked. The system
continues to run until thermal sensors reach the hardware protection limit, at which time
the system powers down immediately.

supported in the 100-series systems, but it will be supported in next-generation 100-
series systems. The 100-series servers do not have an IML; instead, they have a
IPMI log called the System Event Log (SEL). iLO2 supports the SEL log and logs only
critical errors to it.
