* When the U-ANT is used in combination with the U-KPA, the field number becomes 22. If super-widefield

observation (field number 26.5) is required without using a vertical illuminator, use one of the following combi-

nations:

@Attaching the U-AN to the MX-AFDIC analyzer unit.

²Attaching the U-AN360P rotary polarized light analyzer to the U-OPA polarized light attachment.

When an intermediate attachment is used, align the tube clamping knob on the microscope

NOTE

frame with the clamping knob on the attachment in order to determine the orientation of the

analyzer.

** Clamp the slider clamping knobs with a light force. If it is tightened excessively, the prism position switch knob

cannot be operated.
