13. Using the new wiring label as a guide, connect the solid
brown, red and orange wires from the input filter to the
proper terminal block locations of the Opti-Flo II main
terminal block (see Figures 1,2 and Table 2).
12. Using the new wiring label as a guide, remove existing
wires from the Opti-Flo II main terminal block and
install the proper wire from the new wire harness
coming from the GPD 315 (see Table 3). The wire
colors between the new and existing wire harness are
essentially the same to help the installation and eliminate
confusion. The old wire harness is to be discarded (see
Figure 1).
14. At this point all wiring should be completed. Insure all
wires are securely installed. Using the new wiring label,
double check to verify that all wires are installed at the
proper locations (see Figure 2).
— IMPORTANT ——————————————––––––––––
Miswiring will cause damage to the Magnetek GPD 315.
3.

Verifying Proper Operation

1. Refer to Figure 3 for a function block diagram.
2. Verify that all Receiver Probes are in the OFF position
and that there is an OPEN between Receiver Probe
COMMON ( J3 ) and the LOW, MEDIUM, and HIGH
Receiver probe inputs ( J5, J6, and J7 ).
3. Switch "ON" power from the breaker to the
Opti-Flo II.
4. The control should come up with the green "RUN" LED
flashing, the green "FOUT" LED ON continuously, the
red 4 digit display showing "0.00" and the red "ALARM"
LED OFF.
5. The Magnatek GPD 315 parameters can be viewed
and programmed by using the Digital Operator (see
Figure 1). Press the "DSPL" key until the green "PRGM"
LED turns ON. Each parameter starts with the small
letter "n" and is followed by a 3 digit number. The red
4 digit display will display "nXXX" where XXX is a
number between 001 and 179. Use the "^" (UP) key to
increment up and the (DOWN) key to increment down
depending on which parameter you are interested in.
Once you get to the desired parameter press the
"DATA/ENTER" key to display the present value
programmed into the parameter. To change or program
the desired parameter use the "^" (UP) key to increment
up and the (DOWN) key to increment down depending
on what value you want to program into that parameter.
Once the desired value is being displayed press the
"DATA/ENTER" key to store the desired value into the
Opti-FloII Upgrade Kit
parameter. After all parameter programming is complete
press the "DSPL" key until the green "FOUT" LED turns
ON. A listing of installation specific parameters is
given in Table 4. A complete list of all the parameters
can be found in Table A1-1.
—NOTE——————————————–––––––––––––––––
The parameters listed in Table 4 are the ONLY ones that may
need to be reprogrammed for proper operation. Of these,
Parameter n036, "Motor Rated Current" is the set for a 1 Hp Bou-
Matic milk pump motor and MUST be reprogrammed per the
motor nameplate to insure proper operation.
6. Activate the manual pump out switch. The milk pump
motor should start running. Verify that the milk pump
is rotating in the correct direction. If it is not, turn "OFF"
the breaker and check the wiring of the motor.
7. After checking motor direction, check the float switches
for proper operation. The low float should run the motor
at 50 Hz. The high float should run the motor at 60 Hz.
If an optional middle float switch is used, it will be
preset to run at 55 Hz. Check each float individually.
8. Check the Milk/Wash switch for proper operation. All
float switches should be lowered and the motor should
