Remove shipping materials, tape and

protective film from range. Keep
cardboard bottom and shipping base
under range. Remove oven racks and parts
package from inside oven. Remove the back
vent
package from the range top.

Take 4 cardboard corners from the
carton. Stack one cardboard corner
on
top of another. Repeat with the
other two corners. Place corners lengthwise on
the floor in back of range so corners will
support outer side edges of range as shown.
Personal Injury Hazard
Because of the weight and size of this
range, two or more people are needed to
move and safely install it.
Failure to do so could result in personal
injury.

Firmly grasp the range and gently lay
it on its back on the cardboard
corners.

Pull cardboard bottom and shipping
base firmly to remove.

wrench to loosen the I

Place cardboard or hardboard in front
of range. Stand range back up onto
cardboard or hardboard.

Remove the outside screws from rear

trim on range. Use screws to attach
back vent to range.

Check the that the type of gas supply
is correct for this range. (See
n
seriavrating
plate.)
If connecting to L.P. gas, go
to Panel E and
follow range conversion
instructions
for L.P. gas.
If connecting to Natural gas, go
to Step 9.
*To reduce the risk of tipping the
appliance, the appliance must be
secured by a properly installed floor-
mounted anti-tip bracket supplied with
the range.

Save these Installation
Instructions.
If
range is moved to a new location, the
anti-tip bracket must be removed and
reinstalled in the new location.
Electrical Shock Hazard
*Take special care when drilling holes
into the floor. Electrical wires or
plumbing may be located beneath the
floor.

Locate the electrical circuits that could
be affected by the installation
of this
bracket and turn off power to these
circuits.
Failure to follow these instructions
may
result in death or serious injury.

Place the anti-tip bracket template for
n
slide-in ranges
on the floor in the
cabinet opening so that the lefl edge
is against cabinet and the top edge is against
the rear wall, molding or cabinet. If countertop
is deeper than 25 inches (63.5 cm), measure
and mark a distance 25 inches (63.5 cm) in
from front of
countertop opening
and align
template with mark (or subtract 25 inches
(63.5 cm) from the countertop depth and add
the difference to the 2-l/4" (5.7 cm) dimension).

If countertop
is not flush to the side of the
cabinet opening, align the left side of the
template to allow for the countertop overhang.
Tape the slide-in range anti-tip bracket template
in place.

Contact a qualified floor covering
installer for the best procedure of drilling
mounting holes through your type floor
covering.
l
Before moving, slide range onto
cardboard or hardboard.
Failure to do so may result in damage to
floor covering.

To mount
anti-tip
u
bracket to
wood floor,
use the
anti-tip bracket
template to mark where
to drill mounting holes.
Use a drill with a l/8"
(3 mm) drill bit to drill
the two mounting
holes. Remove
template from floor.
To mount anti-tip bracket to concrete or
ceramic floor,
use the anti-tip bracket template
to mark where to drill mounting holes. Use a
drill with a 3/16" (4.5 mm) masonry drill bit to
drill the two holes. Remove template from floor.
Tap plastic anchors into mounting holes in floor
with hammer.

Line up holes in

anti-tip bracket

with mounting
holes in floor. Use the
screws provided to fasten
anti-tip bracket to floor.
NOTE: Anti-tip bracket
must be mounted
securely to the sub-floor.
Depending on the
thickness of your flooring, longer screws may
be necessary to anchor the bracket to the sub-
floor. Longer screws are available from your
local hardware store.

Move range close to cabinet
opening. Remove cardboard or
. hardboard from under range.
Press on front
release to open. Pull open
to first stoo oosition. Lift
front of dr&er
to clear

white wheels in drawer guides. Remove drawer
and set it aside on a protected surface.

Carefully move
range into final
' position. Look
under range (a flashlight
may be needed) to check
that left rear leveling leg is
engaged in the anti-tip
bracket. If leveling leg is not properly engaged,
remove and reposition the anti-tip bracket to
insure that the leveling leg fits properly in the
anti-tip bracket.

Place rack
in oven.

Place level
on rack, first side to
side; then front to back.
If the range is not level,
pull range forward until
'

the rear leveling leg is removed from the anti-tip
bracket. Adjust the leveling legs up or down.
Then slide range back into position. Check that
leveling leg is engaged in ant-tip bracket.
NOTE: Oven must be level for satisfactory
baking conditions.
Fire Hazard
Do Not make connection too tight. The
regulator is die cast.
Overtightening
may crack the regulator,
resulting in a gas leak and possible fire
or explosion.

must be wrench-tightened.

Assemble the flexible connector
from the gas supply pipe to the
pressure regulator, located in the
lower lefl side of the storage drawer area, in
this order: shutoff valve, l/2" flare union
adapter, flexible connector, l/2" flare union
adapter. Seal all openings in floor or wall
wherever range is installed.

Use pipe-joint compounds
appropriate for use with L.P. gas to
. seal all gas connections.
If flexible
connectors are used, be certain connectors are
not kinked.

Open shutoff valve in gas supply
line. Wait a few minutes for the gas
. to move through gas line.
Fire Hazard
Do Not use an open flame to test for
leaks from gas connections.
Checking for leaks with a flame may
result in a fire or explosion.

Use a brush and liquid detergent to
n
test all gas connections
for leaks.
Bubbles around gas connections
will indicate a leak. If a leak appears, shut off
gas valve controls and adjust connections.
Then check connections
again.
NEVER TEST
FOR GAS LEAKS WITH A MATCH OR
OTHER FLAME.
Clean all detergent solution
from range.
