Connecting SITRANS RD500 to MultiRanger
1.
Connect the RS485 port on the SITRANS RD500 to the MultiRanger RS485 port on TB3 using wiring and practices in
accordance with local electrical codes and requirements.
2.
Set up a connection between the PC and SITRANS RD500, referring to the SITRANS RD500 Application instruction
manual if necessary. Be sure that you have connected the PC to the RD500 using the Ethernet crossover cable. (Note:
This application guide assumes the SITRANS RD500 has default network settings.)
Setting Up a Data Log in RD500
1.
Open a web browser and type http://192.168.2.100 into the browser address bar – use Login: admin Password: rd500
when prompted. Note: If a browser is already open, close it and restart to ensure it has the correct network settings.
2.
The browser window will show the Overview page. Click on Configure and then Logs; you should see the screen below.
