LIBERTY LIFT ANCHOR INSTALLATION

RETRO-FIT INSTALLATION / EXISTING DECK APPLICATION

Before installing the anchor, determine an appropriate location for the lift on your deck. Be

mindful of the orientation of the lift when determining where you will mount

it.

Make sure that there are no obstructions on the deck or in the pool (benches,

steps, ladders) that will hinder the use of the lift. Allow room for the user to

be comfortable while entering the pool and exiting the lift.

ANY COPING OR RAISED EDGING (SUCH AS A BULLNOSE) MUST

BE REMOVED IN THE AREA WHERE THE LIFT WILL RESIDE. THE

DECK MUST BE FLAT ALL THE WAY UP TO THE EDGE OF THE

POOL OR ELSE THE TAILGATE WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY.

Make sure that the lift will be mounted parallel to the pool wall, by

measuring the distance from the lead edge of each base plate to the

edge of the pool, and making sure that the distance is equal on both

sides.

Important: You must place the front or leading edge of the base plates

between two and three inches from the edge of the pool.

Now, using the base plates as a marking jig, mark the holes on both

sides for the anchor inserts. You will be using FIVE anchor inserts on

each base plate of the lift.

Core Drill at least a 2-inch [51mm] diameter hole at the ten (10) locations marked from

step 3. I f d e s i r e d , y o u c a n r e m o v e t h e 1 " h e x n u t s f r o m t h e a n c h o r b o l t s a n d c o r e d r i l l a

1-1/4 inch [32mm] hole.

Ground at least one anchor bolt to an existing bonding grid or appropriate ground

source per local codes.

Install the ten (4 ) a n c h o r b o l t s ( w i t h t h e t w o ( 2 ) 1 " H e x N u t s a t t a c h e d ) i n t o t h e

previously drilled holes. Make sure that the top of the bolts will be flush with the top of

the pool deck.

With each anchor checked for plumb and level, secure the anchors into the core drilled

hole using high strength epoxy or hydraulic cement. Make sure there are no void

spaces in the epoxy or cement. Let epoxy cure before installing the LIBERTY LIFT.
