Place the battery holder back into the battery compartment and replace the battery
compartment door (see image on next page).

To verify that you have power: Slide the power switch to the "on" position (to the right). The
pilot LED should illuminate green, indicating that the Hellcat is on. If the LED does not illuminate,
verify that your batteries are fresh and double-check the connections. If the LED begins blinking
during operation, it indicates the batteries are weak and you need to replace or recharge the
batteries. If the LED blinks approximately once every 2 seconds, your batteries are low. If the
LED blinks approximately 2 times per second, your batteries are depleted, and the unit will shut
off shortly.

2-3 TX433XL Requirements

The TX433XL remote control operates on a single 9V battery (not included). We recommend that you use a
high-quality lithium or alkaline battery for the best performance.
Installing a Battery in the TX433XL Transmitter

Access the battery compartment by removing the battery compartment door from the

back of the TX433XL. The door slides down and off the remote

Insert the 9V battery in the back of the remote.

Slide the battery compartment door back onto the remote.

Push and hold the power button on the TX433XL for 1-2 seconds to power it on. The LCD will
activate and display a message to extend the antenna completely for best range. Hit the
"Play/Select" button to acknowledge. You should now be on the Main Category Screen.

2-4 Playing Sounds

The primary function of your Hellcat game call is to produce sounds to attract wildlife. This section explains
how to turn on the Hellcat and the TX433XL and how to start playing sounds.
1.
Turn on the Hellcat by moving the power switch to the on position (to the right). When powered
on, the Hellcat pilot light illuminates green, indicating that it is powered on. If the light does not
activate, replace or charge the batteries and try again.

Turn on the TX433XL transmitter by pushing and holding the power button for 1-2 seconds.

Notice the black horizontal highlight bar on the TX433XL display. The bar moves up and down the
screen as you use the "Scroll Up" or "Scroll Down" arrow buttons.

Move the highlight bar to your desired sound category and push the "Play/Select" button. Doing
this results in displaying all the sounds in that category. To exit the current category, push the
"Menu" button.

After moving the highlight bar to the sound you wish to play, push the "Play/Select" button a
single time to begin playback. Your selected sound will begin playing at low volume.

To adjust the volume: Use the "Volume Up" button to raise the volume level to your desired
setting. Use the "Volume Down" button to decrease the volume level. The transmitter has 20
volume steps.
