Connecting the Phone Line
The terminal is equipped with an internal modem and is easily connected by phone line using a
standard RJ-11 phone cable. This type of cable is included with the terminal. It is also available at
most office and computer supply stores.
!
Caution: The terminal's communications will not work properly using a digital phone system.
Use a standard analog phone line.
Connecting Additional Equipment
Fingerprint readers, barcode scanners, PIN pads, USB cameras, and other "PC devices" can be
connected to the ports, however, contact your sales representative for a complete list of
supported peripherals. See additional precautions in the Specifications section below.
Connecting the Power Cord
The terminal and the external power supply incorporate automatic protection features to enhance
reliability. The connector to the terminal itself snaps robustly into place to avoid accidental
disconnection.
Warning: Connect all cables and peripherals before connecting power to the terminal.
