Initial Planter Height:
The planter is designed to operate with the main tool bar 26
inches above the planting surface.
1) Completely lower the 3-point hitch along with the lift-assist
cylinders. If necessary, first raise the lift-assist cylinders off of
the transport locks and remove them.
2) Raise the 3-point hitch until the tool bar is 26 inches above
the planting surface. Set the 3-point lever stop in the tractor for
future reference.
3) Place a level on the center frame and slowly begin to raise
the lift-assist cylinders until the frame is level.
4) Ensure that the tool bar still measures 26 inches and insert
depth blocks (5) on to the lift-assist cylinders. This will act as a
depth stop during field operation.
Leveling The Wings:
Ensure that the center section of the planter is level before
adjusting the outer wings.

1) Loosen the jam nut (6) at the upper link adjustment arm.
2) Remove the bolt (7) and slide the locking plate (8) away
from the adjustment nut.
3) Rotate the adjustment (9) until the wing is level.
4) Secure the jam nut and re-install the locking plate.

gauge wheel also.
Gauge Wheel Tension:
Note: Prior to adjusting the gauge wheels, the planters center
and wing sections must be level and aligned along with the
tool bar height set at 26 inches from the ground.
1) Unfold the planter onto a level surface.
2) Raise the planter so that the gauge wheels are just off the
ground.
3) Loosen the top nut (10) just above the yoke block.
4) Raise of lower the planter so that the base of the tool bar is
26 inches from the ground.
5) Using an open-ended wrench or adjustable wrench at the
integral hex nut (11), rotate the link until the spring is just
touching the yoke block with neither gap nor compression.
6) Re-tighten the top nut (10).
