Clearing Check Jams

Although designed for extremely reliable check handling, a

badly worn check may occasionally become stuck in the

scanning path. The check may easily be cleared by pulling the

check from the slot in the rear as shown. (FIGURE 11)

1. Use thumb to grab check.

2. Pull check from the back of the unit, being careful not

to rip the check, so it may be re-scanned.

3. Press the CLEAR key to return to the main menu.

4. If the terminal is unresponsive, unplug and reconnect the power plug.

If the check is lodged in the scanner and cannot be removed from the rear, open the side door for

easy removal. It is very important that the door be closed and reseated properly or poor

performance may result.
